. . . or, to be precise, three announcements
Announcement #1:
After months of deliberating, Smooth Operators finally has its own official chat room!
It will be the new base for our roleplaying, as well as general discussion of opera (or whatever else we may be in the mood for)
You can find us at: chat.deviantart.com/chat/Smoot…
If you're in the neighbourhood, come swing by and say hello!
Announcement #2:
So you remember that special gift I'd mentioned in the Christmas journala whole two months ago? It's still on its way, because I evidently have a rather vague understanding of terms like "schedule" and "work/life balance". That said, I promise you'll not have to wait too much longer for it.
Announcement #3:
Henceforth, I have decided to end each journal with a topic you can all discuss in the comments section; feel free to suggest topics as well!
Today's topic is: Opera slash/yaoi/yuri; who's for it? Who's against it? Who's indifferent? Who simply wants to yell, "Dagnabbit, Jabbers! Stop this rather obvious stalling and get back to finishing that Christmas thing you promised us two months ago!"?
Peace, love and opera!

Wishing all my fellow Smooth Operators a very safe and happy Christmas!
(I apologise yet again for the quiet, activity-less year we've had ^^; I promise to rectify this next year!)
Peace, love and opera! :holly:

I'm also splendidly happy to announce that I have finally completed my (nominally) festive treat for you all :aww: Go feast your eyes upon it here: http://smooth-operators.deviantart.com/art/Madama-Butterfly-parody-580126224
Today's topic of discussion: Traditional versus contemporary productions; on which side do you fall? Do you prefer one type over the other? Do you like both? Do you not care either way? Do you just want me to stop talking so you can get on with your undoubtedly-more-interesting-than-mine lives? Sound off in the comment section!
Peace, love and opera! :h

Apologies for our less-than-prolific output; I'll have a (nominally) festive treat ready for you all in a few days' time :aww:
Peace, love and opera! :holly:

Hooray for the new chatroom (and upcoming Christmas gift)! \(^o^)/ Can't wait to see where these take us!
As for opera slash/yaoi/yuri... Hmm. It depends, I guess? I mean, I haven't seen that many operas in my life, but I think it really depends on the character interactions, how they're interpreted by the production/s,how tight the viewer's shipping goggles are on, etc. In the end, I don't mind any opera ships of any kind, as long as the shippers aren't jerks about it. And as long as B.F. Pinkerton isn't involved in any of them >_<
